How do I design my own custom product?
To design a product, you must first make your selection from any one of our Heirloom Categories on the left hand menu section. Click on a product to get more details about its size, design options, and other features. When you find the product you want, click "Add your photo" You will then be given steps for uploading your image. Our design center will let you choose your image placement, resize your image, and preview the image on the product. Please review our instructions for further information.
What kind of pictures may I use?
Our design center supports both black and white and full color photos, scanned artwork, custom logo’s or any digitally created images.
Why is my image too small on the product?
Your image might not have the correct resolution for the product you selected. We require an image to at least be 600x800 pixels in size. Keep in mind you do not want to enlarge an image if it is too small as you will lose image quality. You can always take a large image and make it smaller. This can be quite difficult and tricky if you have not worked with digital images before. Preparing your images in advance and getting a better understanding can make your shopping experience a lot easier and much more fun! Also make sure your images are saved as JPEG Format and that the extension is “.jpg”
What format do you need the photo in? Are there any specifications about the file size?
Currently JPG is the only photo uploading supported file format. You can upload files up to a total file size of 5MB and images larger then 250x187.
Can I send copyrighted photographs?
First Day Heirlooms cannot legally reproduce copyrighted material without the written permission from the studio or photographer. Please include the release in a follow-up e-mail with your order id to orders@firstdayheirlooms.com
Are there any restrictions to graphic content?
Although we believe in everyone’s individual freedom of expression, we reserve the right to refuse to print any image considered offensive or illegal.
Can I insert a different photo myself, once I receive my jewelry?
For most of our products, photo images cannot be inserted or changed.
Does FirstDayHeirlooms obtain the rights to the content I upload?
You retain any and all rights in and to any content that you upload through the FirstDayHeirlooms Design Center. Please read the FirstDayHeirlooms.com Terms of Service.
May I pay by check?
Yes, your order will not be processed until your check has cleared.
What are shipping costs?

How long will it take to receive my photo pendant or photo Heirloom?
In most cases 10 to 14 days
Is it safe to order online?
At FirstDayHeirlooms we understand the importance of your family's safety and your payment information is paramount. All orders and personal information are protected and secured with encryption. Credit card information is processed through authorize.net and is not stored on our servers.

What is the return and exchange policy?
At First Day Heirlooms our priority is your satisfaction. If an item is defective you may return it to us within 30 days from the date of shipment for a refund, or exchange
